The online portal allows you to:

  • View your open charges.
  • Display your transaction history.
  • Make a payment.
  • Change your password.
  • Submit a service request.

Please note all credit card, debit card and echeck payments in the resident/owner portal will have a service charge.

(Debit cards: $9.99 processing fee, Credit Cards: 3.49% processing fee and eChecks from you savings or checking account: $2.49 processing fee)

  • Can I pay my rent or dues online?

    GC Real Estate offers a convenient way for you to pay online via the secure Online Portal.


    A variety of convenient and secure online payment options are available:

    • eCheck: Enter your routing and account numbers in your secure Online Portal to pay rent or any other charge directly from your checking or savings account. These payments can be set as reoccurring monthly installments or one-time transactions. ($2.49 processing fee)
    • Credit or Debit Card: Use your debit or credit card to pay your rent through the secure Online Portal. (A $9.99 transaction fee applies for debit card. 3.49% processing fee applies for credit cards)
    • Electronic Cash Payments: If you choose this method, we will provide you with a reusable PaySlip that you can use at 7-Eleven, CVS, Ace Cash Express, and Casey’s General Store to pay your rent in cash. (A $3.99 transaction fee applies;$1,500 maximum per transaction.)

    How to get started:

    1. Visit gcremn.appfolio.com/connect and click Request Access to the Portal at the bottom.
    2. Fill in the fields with your name, phone, and email.
    3. You will then receive an email with a link to your personal, secure Online Portal.
    4. Create a password and access right away!

  • How do I place a maintenance request?

    We are committed to providing high-quality service to our customers and you can contact GC Real Estate for maintenance support in the following ways:

    1. Submit a maintenance request through the Online Portal, where you can follow the status of the work order.
    2. For emergency maintenance requests, please go to your apartment page for a 24-hour support phone number. Find your apartment building.
  • How do I connect my utilities?

    Appointments to connect utilities can be set up by phone after move in. Your Property Manager will have a list of providers for the various utilities available in your area at the property office.

  • What lease terms are available?

    The ability to choose a leasing option that works best for you is essential to finding your new apartment. Lease terms differ depending on the apartment community that you choose. The availability of a particular floor plan also impacts the term of a lease. For more details, please contact the leasing office of the community of your choice.

  • Do I need renter’s insurance?

    GC Real Estate requires all tenants to have renter’s insurance. You can choose to  purchase your own, or we can enroll you in our liability insurance. For more information on this, please view this document


  • I have a pet. What is the best way to find a pet-friendly GCRE community?

    Pets are welcome residents at many GC Real Estate communities. More detailed information is available with the Property Manager or Leasing Associate.

  • What appliances are included in the apartment home?

    Each of our apartment communities feature quality amenities that help enhance your home. Kitchens are centered around well-maintained appliances, including standard cook-top ovens and refrigerator-freezers. Microwaves, dishwashers, kitchen islands and washer-dryers are also standard features in many instances. For a complete list of appliances and amenities, please search the rental community of your choice.

  • Do GCRE apartment homes include garages?

    We provide a large variety of apartment communities, most of which offer off-street parking and garages. Communities with an abundance of garages may include it with the apartment rent. More common is for garages to be optional and available for an additional monthly fee.

  • Are furnished rentals or corporate suite apartments available?

    Whether it’s a job-related relocation or the pursuit of education, we understand that a furnished rental apartment can sometimes create the home away from home you’re looking for. Many of our apartment communities offer fully furnished corporate suites for rent and we welcome any inquiry regarding out ability to furnish a previously unfurnished apartment to meet your needs. You can narrow your search results for existing furnished rentals by the furnished icon displayed on the listings for communities that offer this amenity.

  • Can I tour an apartment before I complete an application for it?

    Absolutely. Prior to filling out an application, we encourage you to walk through your prospective home. A tour allows you to meet the staff, and experience the amenities and services first hand.
